German carmaker BMW has unveiled the new i3 concept electric coupe ahead of its debut at the upcoming 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show in US to be held between 30 November 2012 and 09 December 2012.
The new three-door coupe concept is powered by the carmaker's electric motor that generates a maximum output power of about 125 kW and peak torque of 250Nm and its single-speed transmission will allow transferring power to the rear wheels.
Features of the new electric coupe include a driving experience control switch that allows selecting the three driving modes including comfort,eco pro and eco pro+.
The standard comfort mode offers sportiness and comfort experience,while the eco pro mode is aimed at offering economical energy management that allows increased range and the eco pro+mode maximises driving range
The vehicle also comes with eDrive system that enables travelling a distance of about 160km on a complete battery charge.
BMW's i ConnectedDrive services offered in the new coupe provides the driver with practical projections of the vehicle's current range.
