Kobe Steel has reported the first nine months result ended December 31st of the financial year 2012/13.
The company reported a net loss of 22.7 billion yuan compared to a net income of 12.6 billion yuan in the corresponding period of previous financial year.
The sales revenue were 1.24 trillion yuan, down by 11.5% year on year, meanwhile sales of iron and steel segment declined by 12.4% to 562.5 billion yuan.
Kobe Steel produced 5.26 million tons of crude steel, down by 2.6% year on year. Overall weak business condition in China and performance shown until the third quarter all lead to its stagnant steel sales.
