In the January-April period of the current year, total fixed asset investments (excluding rural households) in China amounted to RMB 10.7078 trillion ($1.747 trillion), up 17.3 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on May 13, with the year-on-year increase rate in question down 0.3 percentage points compared to that recorded in the January-March period this year.
In January-April this year, total fixed asset investment in China's mining sector amounted to RMB 259.1 billion ($42.27 billion), up 6.9 percent year on year, while fixed asset investment in China's manufacturing sector totaled RMB 3.7152 trillion ($0.606 trillion), up 15.2 percent year on year, with the respective year-on-year increase rates down 5.2 percentage points and remaining stable compared to those recorded in the January-March period this year.
